JHU Volleyball Team On behalf of the Johns Hopkins Volleyball team, past and present, we would like to send our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Linda Trinh. There is no consolation in a loss like this; we are merely left with many unanswered questions, and feelings of anger, frustration, and sadness. This is especially true when it comes to Linda. Her genuine kindness and infectious smile were able to bring happiness and comfort to all around her.

As a teammate, we remember Linda as a leader, a friend, and a fierce competitor. Her unwavering enthusiasm and encouragement were a source of motivation to all. By simply smiling, Linda could change the momentum of the game. You would never believe that such a loud battle cry could come from such a small person, but to those of you who knew Linda, this comes as no surprise. Linda also put forth enormous energy and effort on the court—no ball was out of her reach. It wasn’t unusual to see Linda doing a split, diving on the court, or sprawling across the floor to ensure that the play was made.

Finally, we know that Linda’s kindness, passion, dedication, and hard work-ethic spread to all corners of her life. Her heart was bigger than her body. Linda’s spirit will live within us and we remember her with the utmost fondness and respect.

In remembrance of Linda as our teammate, we’d like to present this to her family.
