TNTT
Almost every Saturday from two to six there is a Thieu Nhi Thanh The
(TNTT) meeting. And every week I earnestly wait for Saturday to come. Sometimes I have
a bad week at school, but going to the meeting cheers me up. You cannot help but be happy
when everyone else is playful and in a good mood. If I ever have a problem there is always
someone to turn to. If I ever need someone to talk to, TNTT is where I will look. Friends
are everywhere and they are always friendly. What I am trying to say is I can always count
on TNTT. We share a lot of things together- all our joy and sorrow.
TNTT is not just playing games or talking to your friends all the time. We also learn
about God, sing songs and go to church. If you have ever been to one of our meetings you
know what I am talking about. We play less than we learn. We have something called Bo
Hoa Thieng where we keep our daily records of our prayers, good deeds, sacrifices, etc.
At the end of the week we count all the good things we did and have a contest to see who
wins the special flag. Getting the flag is a great honor.
Just thinking about TNTT can sometimes put a smile on my face. I have been a member of
TNTT since it started. We have been through many ups and downs. We have survived the
downs by sticking together.
Something you should also know about us is that we cry a lot. We do not just start crying
for nothing or anything like that. We have our reasons. Almost all the girls cried when
one of our leaders left to become a priest. He was very nice and funny. We will probably
never see him again. I, personally, am happy for him. Even though I still cried at the
second camp to see him leave.
A lot of people also cried on Thanksgiving when Chi Phuong gave her speech. I guess my
friends and I are very sensitive.
I love TNTT and it has helped me a lot. My parents and other people may not agree with
me. Maybe it is because of my point of view, but I do not think I am the only one who
loves TNTT.
